Microsoft Word is a widely used commercial word processor designed by Microsoft. It is developed by Charles Simonyi and Richard Brodie, it was first released in 1983. It is one of the office productivity application included in the Microsoft Office Packages.
If you've previously used ms Word 2007 or 2010, then Word 2013 and 2016 should feel familiar. It continues to use features like the Ribbon and the Quick Access toolbar where you will find commands to perform common tasks in Word as well as Backstage view.
MS Word 2013 uses a tabbed Ribbon system instead of traditional menus. The Ribbon contains multiple tabs , each with several groups of commands. You will use these tabs to perform the most common tasks in Word.
New (Ctrl+N) :- option will be used to open a new document.
Open :- This option will be used to open an existing word document.( Ctrl+O)
Save :- If an existing document is opened, it would be saved as is, otherwise it
will display a dialogue box asking for document name.(Ctrl+S)
Save As (F12 or Shift+F12):- A dialogue box will be displayed asking for document name and
document type, by default it will save in word 2013 format with extension
.docx
Print :-This option will be used to print an opened document.
Share :- It share the current open file through E-mail and Blog (In internet).
Export :- It save the current open file in PDF and XPS file Format.
Close :- It Close current open ms word windows.
